Established in South London in 1975, RMA Stewart began trading as a small family business with one engineer. From the outset our ethos has been to deliver workmanship and service of a consistently high standard, all charged at fair and market-competitive prices.

Half a century later, the Stewart team has grown to 65 highly skilled individuals and we complete over 35,000 jobs annually, including 1000 new installations and more than 2,500 electrical emergencies.

Since RMA Stewart’s foundation in the mid-70s, the electrical industry has transformed beyond recognition. However, throughout all these years of change, our core values have remained constant…

We run thorough inspections and consultations to scope requirements precisely from day-one, and ensure RMA Stewart solutions always match the brief perfectly. After project completion, our client feedback questionnaires and follow-up quality inspections doublecheck that work has been delivered to the highest standards. Regular ‘tool-box talks’ share vital information across teams to align all client-facing operations. And our engineers take extra time to care for end-customers, especially those with medical or additional needs.

RMA Stewart’s quality culture is deeply rooted, with a relentless focus on continuous improvement to eliminate error and boost performance. Our significant investment in training, certifications and the newest technology keeps our engineers up to date with the latest standards and regulatory revisions. And we continuously monitor quality and satisfaction by asking our clients to complete a feedback survey after every project is concluded. Currently our average survey satisfaction score is 98%.

Our close-knit team of over 40 skilled engineers is supported by dedicated back-office staff and the latest work-management and collaboration tools. Our teamworking culture is rooted in family-business traditions of helping one another, job dedication, professional conduct and mutual respect. The RMA Stewart Apprenticeship Scheme transforms school leavers into the next generation of electrical engineers and offers re-skilling opportunities to more mature starters and career-switchers. All our more experienced engineers are trained to mentor colleagues and pass on their specialist knowledge. We also run regular training programmes to sharpen the skills of our engineers, from technical certifications and health & safety courses to instruction in best-practice when reporting resident welfare concerns.
